MAXIMUM LIMIT FOR PURCHASE AT POINT OF SALE (POS) :

All the banks in Saudi Arabia sets its debit card limit for purchase at any point of sale (POS) upto SR 60,000/- (Sixty Thousand Saudi Riyal) per day, Earlier it was SR 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand Saudi Riyal) per day. WITHDRAWAL LIMIT OF BANK ATM MACHINE :

- Any debit card in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is set with a withdrawal limit of maximum SR 5000/- (Five Thousand Saudi Riyal) per day through any nearest ATM machine while the minimum withdrawal limit is set to SR 50/- (Fifty Saudi Riyal).

- These withdrawal limit in bank ATM machine is set up to last hour of the day that is up to 23.59 (11.59 PM) only not on a 24 hours interval, For Example, If you withdraw an amount of 5000 riyals at 23.55 (11.55 PM) then you can withdraw another 5000 amount after 00.01 (12.01 AM) if you need to withdraw more, then you have to wait for the beginning hours of the next day. MOI SAUDI ABSHER SERVICE REGISTRATION

The procedure for MOI Saudi Absher Service Registration is modified from the earlier one as we explained in this article "Register for MOI Abhsir". As the Ministry Of Interior Saudi Arabia upgraded its official website portal.

PROCEDURE FOR MOI SAUDI ABSHER SERVICE REGISTRATION :

Visit Ministry Of Interior website www.moi.gov.sa English version. Click on "New User".

1. Enter your deatils as explained below,

- "Identification Number" is your Iqama or Muqeem number without Iqama number you cannot make account.

- In "E-Mail Address" you can enter your correct and working Email, Then re enter your mail in "Confirm E-Mail Address".

- Default "Preferred Language" is Arabic, You can choose it as English.

- Enter your "Mobile Number", It should be your personal number, Mobile Number is very important to access your account any time from anywhere.

- Then check the little box beside "I Confirm that I have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions", Click on "OK" button.

2. Now you will receive SMS Code on the mobile number you entered, Your page will be redirected to another page as you can see in below image.

- Enter "Activation Code" as you got in SMS code, Enter "Identification Number" its your Iqama Number you entered earlier, Now Click "OK".

3. Now you can see another page asking you to enter details like "USER ID", "PASSWORD" and "CONFIRM PASSWORD", Click on "OK".

- You can enter your "USER ID" as you like, You can also use "-", "_" and "." in between your user id.

- "PASSWORD" and "CONFIRM PASSWORD" should be same, It is compulsory to use "Number", "Lower Case letter" and it should be more than 8 characters.

4. Now you can see a message on your screen "To activate your account, Please bring your Valid ID, Signed and completed registration form, Where you can print it or fill it when you visit one of activation center".

ACTIVATE MOI ABSHER SERVICE REGISTRATION

Ministry Of Interior Saudi Arabia provided so many methods to activate your online registered MOI absher service. If you did not registered yet, you can register by following this article "MOI Absher Service Registration".

METHODS OF ACTIVATING ABSHER SERVICE REGISTRATION :

1. ACTIVATE MOI ABSHER THROUGH BANKS : If you hold bank account in any of these banks (Al Rajhi Bank, Riyad Bank, Bank Albilad, Bank AlJazira) then you can activate through following method.

Internet Banking : Login to your net banking account, Choose "Services", then select "MOI Registration", Read description of the service and "Accept", Confirm your information by clicking "Proceed", Once you finished you will get SMS of activation.

ATM Machine : Visit nearest Al Rajhi ATM, Use your ATM card, Choose "Other Operations", Then select "Portal of the Ministry Of Interior", Check your information and complete the registration process, Once you finish, You will get SMS of activation.

Phone Banking : Call 920003344, Enter Customer Number, PIN and select number 5, Then number 4 to activate the absher service.

- RIYAD BANK :

Internet Banking : Login to your net banking website, Look for "Government Services", Authenticate it, You will get SMS and activate it by logging to your absher service account.

NCB BANK (AL AHLI BANK) :

Phone Banking : Call 920001000, Enter your details, Press number 4, After that press No 2, and at last press 5. You will receive SMS of confirmation of your registration.

ATM Machine : Use your card for accessing the service select "Activate MOI Online E-service", "Agree" the terms and conditions, confirm your mobile number by clicking on option "Correct", You will get a confirmation SMS of activation.

BANK ALBILAD :

Internet Banking : Login to your net banking through bank Albilad website, Once you login, Look for last option at left side "MOI Portal Activation", Click on it, Read terms and conditions and click "PROCEED", You will get SMS and your MOI registration will be confirmed.

BANK AL JAZIRA :

ATM Machine : Visit nearest ATM Machine of your Al Jazira Bank, Select the services dedicate for MOI registration. Click Activate, You will confirmation SMS of registration.

2. ACTIVATE THROUGH SELF SERVICE MACHINES :

3. ACTIVATE BY VISITING OFFICES :

To check your final exit visa status in MOL database, You can use the service of "Checking Nitaqat color" or follow the below procedure.

1. Visit Labor Ministry official portal by following the link www.mol.gov.sa

2. In the second text box "رقم الإقامة", Enter your "Iqama Number" then "Image code" as shown in image in the box "رمز التحقق" and then click right hand side below button "بحث".

DEATH COMPENSATION FOR EXPATRIATES IN SAUDI ARABIA

If an expatriate dies in Saudi Arabia during work or in road accident or murdered then deceased person's legal family members can claim the death compensation in the form of End of service benefits or GOSI compensation from sponsor, blood money from the accused of the deceased person's death in case of murdered or road accident. POWER OF ATTORNEY :

You must provide a power of attorney to someone who is responsible for the proceedings to the court. The General Directorate of traffic has alerted with a circular to all its traffic departments in Saudi Arabia mentioning small expatriate families will be no longer allowed to own a big vehicles of 7 or more seater (A vehicle with seven or more seats).

The above order is only applicable for those residents or expatriates whose family is of less than five members. Residents with above five or more members are excluded form this order but they have to provide the proof for it and have to assure the authorities that they will not transport passengers illegally.

The Reason behind this circular is simple, They want to stop those big vehicles who are transporting passengers or school students illegally without a legal permission. This was the statement from Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

It has been seen some residents or expatriates are using their vehicles as taxi to transport the school students or passengers by using such big vehicles.

Registrations and ownership of big vehicles with a seat of seven or more members will be rejected based on the above conditions. The above news was reported in local media and Arab news.

PROBATION PERIOD UNDER LATEST SAUDI LABOR LAW

It is very useful for the new expatriate to know his rights under latest Saudi Labor Law being in a probation period. This article will provide you knowledge about probation period of an employee which is mentioned in the Article 53 and Article 54 of latest Saudi Labor Law.

Every country has its own labor law which will guide both the parties 'Employer' and 'Employee' to stick on it in any hard situations.

Article 53 in Latest Saudi Labor Law :

- In case of both parties agrees in a document, The 90 days probation period can be extendable for another 90 days a total of 180 Days (As per 38 Amendments of Labor Law updated on 2015) exclusive of sick leaves and Eid al-Adha, Eid al-Fitr holidays.

Article 54 in Latest Saudi Labor Law:

- As an exception to the above rule, An employee may, however, and with the approval of the contract parties, be subjected to another probation period of not more than 90 days on the condition that this period is for another work or profession.
