FLIGHT DELAY COMPENSATION IN SAUDI ARABIA

Passengers who travel by air can claim a compensation of 300 SR(Saudi Riyal) per hour up to 10 hours, if their flight is delayed or air staff failed to announce the revised time of flight take-off.




According to Article 8 of GACA's (General Authority of Civil Aviation) consumer protection rights, If the air carrier failed to announce the new revised time of flight take-off, carrier must compensate the traveler with SR 300 for each hour delay. Recommended :Apply for Transit Visa Saudi

- Traveler compensate amount should not exceed more than SR 3000 or more than 10 hours. Similar : How many airports in Saudi Arabia

SAUDIA DOMESTIC FLIGHTS : Saudi Arabian Airlines in Riyadh shifted all of its domestic flights operation From Riyadh and To Riyadh is now from Terminal 5 (Earlier its Terminal 3) of King Khaled International Airport (KKIA).

FILIPINOS STOPPED FROM TAKING FINAL EXIT IN KSA

About 300 Stranded Filipino workers of Saudi Arabia have been stopped from taking final exit to Philippines as they have uncleared debts on their identity. Most of them are unaware of any such debts on their identity  they just came to know when they applied for final exit visa.





The head of Philippine Consulate Assistance also confirmed that few of OFW's (Overseas Filipino Workers) from Saudi Bin Ladin Company are facing the issues while applying for their exit visas as they have unpaid debts and cases registered against them. KISWAH THE BLACK CLOTH OF KABA

CHANGE OF KABA KISWAH IN MAKKAH

The black covering cloth of Kaaba named "KISWAH" will change every year on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah (Arafat Day), On the day of Arafat just after the Fajar prayer the work of changing Kiswah will start and continues till Asar prayer.





Kaaba Kiswah is made up of pure silk and the decoration of the Quran verses is done with gold and silver threads. It is manufactured in Kiswa factory at Umm Al Joud in the region of Makkah.

THE BLESSED DAY OF ARAFAT (ARAFAH)

The day of Arafat falls every year on the 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah month (Hijri Calendar Last Month). This is the day when all the millions of Hajj pilgrims will gather at the plain of Arafat as it is mandatory ritual of Hajj, This year it is on 11th September 2016.




Muslims all over the world who are not performing Hajj on the day of Arafah are recommended to fast, As Allah has prepared enormous reward for them. "Fasting on the Day of Arafat absolves the sins of the previous year and the following year" - Muslim. Recommended :Kaaba Kiswah Changing day

Saudi Arabia National Day falls on 23rd September of every year, It is a public holiday in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. However this year National Day is falling on Friday, As it is already weekend holiday in KSA, so you will get another holiday on Thursday (22nd September 2016).




As per the tweet of one of the spokesman of Ministry of Civil Service, This year National day official holiday will be on Thursday that is September 22, As September 23 is already a weekend holiday as it is Friday, However National Day will be celebrate only on September 23rd in KSA. Recently in this month Bangladeshi government with Ministry of Bangladesh Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment launched a call center called 'Prabashbondhu Call Center' for Bangladeshi expatriates at Probashi Kalyan Bhaban. In English you can call this call center as 'Foreign Friends Call Center'.

NO BONUS INCREMENT FINANCIAL BENEFITS TO MINISTERS & SHOURA MEMBERS

Saudi Arabia's King Salman has ordered a 15% cut from the salaries of Shoura Council Members and 20% cut in the salaries of Ministers starting from the Islamic new year 1438 (2nd October 2016). Its not yet finished, Their will be a 15 percent reduction in car and housing benefits of Shoura Council members.




It affects even on the Cabinet Ministers like Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, Deputy Crown Prince and Defense Minister Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Of Interior.  Recommended :Saudi Arabia new visa fees from 1438

- No bonuses, No annual increments and No financial benefits for renewing contracts or re hiring staff for this new Islamic year 1438.

LIMIT OF CASH ALLOWED TO CARRY IN SAUDI ARABIA AIRPORTS

Saudi Arabia Customs has set the limit of currency to 60,000 SAR (Saudi Arabian Riyal) for carrying out (Export) of the Kingdom or bringing inside (Import) the Kingdom through airport. Exceeding the amount of SR 60,000 should be declare.




Travelers or passengers carrying more than sixty thousand Saudi riyals (or equivalent amount) from or to other countries currencies must be declared, In case of failed to declare and caught, you may need to pay a penalty with a jail term and it will be treated as the crime of money laundering. - Israeli Shekel is not included in the other currencies as it is prohibited in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, passenger who traveled to Israel earlier is not welcomed in the Saudi Arab. Similar :New labour law in Saudi Arabia

- However, one should care, where he is taking this amount as the other countries where you are going have their own rules and regulations of customs for carrying or bringing money or any valuable metals through their airports.

SAUDI ARABIA CUSTOMS CASH LIMIT ON AIRPORT

- It will prohibit some extra smart people who will carry the amount in hand. instead of remitting money through remittance center or bank just to save the remit fee. VIOLATING WEEKEND RULE WILL PENALIZE COMPANY UPTO SR 100,000


According to Ministry of Labor, those companies who are calculating weekends as part of their employees annual vacation will be treated in weekend violation and the penalty for this weekend violation is 100,000 Saudi riyals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.




Earlier this year ministry received several complaints from various company employees that their employers are exploiting the rights of employees. Recommended :Penalty for traffic violation Saudi Arabia

As per Saudi Labor Law, weekends are not the part of annual vacation, weekends are official paid leaves.




- No one has the right to force the employees for working during weekends, Their should not be any deduction of salary for the weekend leaves. Similar :working hours of new labour law in Saudi Arabia

- In case of working in a weekend leave without any force from employer, It should be calculate as overtime for an employee.




- Labor Ministry will penalize with SR 100,000 on those all companies who are counting weekends in annual leave or vacation. Related :Saudi Arabia new law for foreigners vacation

- Violation companies will get a time for paying the fines, In case of failing to pay in the time the violation penalty will be increased.

ISLAMIC CALENDAR HIJRI NEW YEAR 1438

Islamic calendar new year or Hijri new year 1438 is about to begin from October 2, 2016 in Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries. The Governments of UAE, Oman, Libya already declared a public holiday on the occasion of beginning of Islamic new year 1438.




- The journey of the Prophet Mohammed(Peace Be Upon Him) from Makkah to Madina is called Hijrah or Hijra, It is the beginning of counting the Islamic or Hijri new year, It was on 622 AD. - Some companies in Saudi Arabia follows Hijri calendar for paying salaries, In this case every employee get 11 to 12 days more salary as compared to Gregorian calendar. SR 2000 IN KSA

All one time entry visas will be SR 2000/- in Saudi Arabia starting from this Sunday October 2, 2016 (1st Moharram 1438). One time entry visa's includes Working Visit Visa, Family Visit Visa, Single Entry Business Visa, Hajj Visa, Umrah Visa, etc,.

ALL INDIAN CHANNELS WILL BANNED AFTER THE PAKISTANI ACTORS BANNED IN INDIA

All the Indian channels will be banned in Pakistan from October 15 as per the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA). Their were reports few days before that Pakistani artists and technicians are banned in India.






Strict actions would be taken against the cable operators, If they failed to ban Indian channels from October 15. The reports have been received that few operators are running Indian channels in Pakistan without legal permission. Recommended : Saudi Embassy Attestation

FOR EACH PASSPORT 2000SR WHETHER IT IS FAMILY VISIT VISA OR PERMANENT FAMILY VISA

All the unapproved family visit visa applications applied in the last year 1437 are canceled and requested to make a new application starting from today 1st Moharram 1438. 



- On every passport entry their will be a fee of SR 2000/- for entering into Saudi Arabia. Payment of entry visa fee can be paid only in home country and not in chamber of commerce. Recommended :family visa application for visit

SAUDI ARABIA WILL NOW PAY SALARIES AS PER GREGORIAN CALENDAR

As per the decision of Saudi Arabia's cabinet, now government sector will get salaries, bonuses, allowances, wages and other payments on the basis of Gregorian calendar.




Starting from the new Islamic new year 1st Moharram 1438 (ie,. October 2, 2016), All the government and public sector employees will get salaries as per the Gregorian calendar. Earlier all the government employees use to get salaries as per Hijri calendar which is 1 or 2 days shorter than Gregorian calendar. Read more on this in this article "New Hijri year 1438".




- Most of the private sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are already switched the salaries on the basis of Gregorian calendar, Now government employees will also get in the same line. Recommended :Weekend rule violation penalty
